Bifurcated Axials

"The bifurcated axial fan is a cylinder shaped unit with in line flanges for the flue, a pressure switch can be fitted to ensure safe operation"

Capacity & Ranges

All bifurcated fans are individually sized and manufactured to suit a particular flue system be it dilution or induction. Please note that a drain plug may be fitted to the fan in manufacture if the fan is fitted within a wet system. It will handle flue gases at up to 200 deg C with an average gas appliance working at 75% efficiently are 180 deg C with a CO2 content of 5%.

Motors

The motor is a single speed unit with class F windings that is totally enclosed and generally to IEC34-1 BS5000 and BS4999 foot mounted in single or three phase as requested. The bearings are maintenance free sealed ball bearings with adequate lubrication to ensure reliable operation for many years.

Connections

The electrical wiring details are inside the motor terminal cap.

NOTE:- The boiler output supply has voltage free contacts.

Flow Switch

The pressure switch has contacts which close with air flow and open in the event of a fan failure or flue blockage.

Installation & Maintenance

Full instructions on installation and operating come with the unit.

Finish

The wetted materials in contact with the flue gases within the unit are constructed in mild steel whilst the fan blade is cast aluminium. The finish of the mild steel case is usually high temperature aluminium paint or hot dip galvanised though epoxy resin paint finish is avaliable upon request.

Note:- this appliance must have a draught diverter or draught stabiliser fitted within the primary flue section.
