FLUE BOOST C.P.R.
"The Flue boost C.P.R. is an electronic constant pressure regulator. The regulator is a pressure transducer combined with a speed control, when connected to a fan it will maintain a constant negative pressure within the secondary flue"
Pressure Transducer
Pressure range - 10 pascals negative to 120 pascals negative
Electrical Details
Input 240 Volt Input; 1 phase; 50Hz. Output to boiler - volt free, 1 phase; 240 volt 5 Amp maximum Additional output - 0-10 Vdc 3mA maximum output. Output to fan - 240 volt (variable) 1 phase, two/three wire connection. C.P.R.2 - 2 Amp load maximum. C.P.R.8 - 8 Amp load maximum.
The C.P.R. in Use
The C.P.R. is set up on initial installation and should not be reset unless modifications are done within the boiler/flue system. The flue probe is placed within the primary flue/header system, this probe is directly linked to the pressure transducer within the C.P.R. With the aid of the speed control the C.P.R. will maintain the pre-set negative pressure at the point of the probe. If the pressure alters due to any outside influences then the speed will be adjusted ti suit and maintain the pre-set negative pressure. If the C.P.R. is fitted to a modular system, the C.P.R. will help maintain a constant negative pressure regardless of one or more boilers being on, thus keeping the flue draught at ideal conditions.
Dip Switches
There are four dip switches on the C.P.R. that change functions within the unit.
Manual Reset
This is required to be switched on should a pressure switch not be fitted within the system, should a fault occur, then the fan will expel all the flue gases within the flue system and cool the flue system down.
Post Purge
When the fan is to cycle on/off with a thermostat, it is recommended to leave the post purge on, then the fan will expel all the flue gases within the system and cool the flue system down.
Scale
The C.P.R. negative pressure reading is set to read in pascals, this may be changed via the dip switch to read inches water gauge.
P.D.S. Check
To be switched on only if there is a pressure switch fitted within the system, the P.D.S. check will automatically check if the pressure switch is working. In the event of a failure the system will go to lockout.
Tubing
The tubing supplied with the C.P.R. is 3m x 6mm O.D. nylon tube. If the longer lengths are required this is at extra cost. Please state required length in writing on order.
Probe
The flue probe is a simple pilot port that is inserted within the secondary flue/header system. The probe is made out of stainless steel connected to a flat sealing plate. Probe size - 6mm O.D. Tubing size - 6mm O.D. Connector - 6mm quick connector
Enclosure
Polycarbonate IP65 enclosure with a clear polycarbonate lid, please note that the enclosure has a sintered bronze breather in the base.
